Beginning horsemanship and Western Riding

Instructor/Coach, Ms. Jane Mitchell

 

Hands-on experience for you and straightforward, easy to understand instruction is offered  for youth and adults alike.  

 

Discover what motivates horses and how to easily gain their respect.

Learn to safely halter, lead, groom and prepare a horse for riding and then learn how to ride!  Discover your ability to communicate with horses subtly, through body language and understand herd dynamics, horse anatomy, and hoofcare. All with an emphasis on safety and fun for the handlers and horses alike.

 

Lessons include both basic arena and trail riding skills. Also, obstacle course work, beginning drill team and a variety of confidence building activities, presented in an , "at your own pace" style.  You'll experience feelings of freedom AND control!

 

Young people learn responsibility, teamwork, respect and independence in a healthy country environment. Adults can slow down and refresh themselves with a new skill or reconnect with a passion from their youth. Students are encouraged to develop clear relationships with their equine partners!
